Concept Development

Working closely with the client to create a viable product though the initial concept stage is key. We generate and develop ideas through sketching, 3D surface modelling and test rigs to create the best possible solution, whilst continually thinking about the product's aesthetic to have maximum appeal to the intended target market resulting in maximum sales, without affecting the key functions of the product. Ergonomics affects the way the user interacts with the product; we design so the end user fits the product giving them an effortless interaction.

 

3D Design (CAD)

To help in the manufacturing and refinement of the product we use CAD (computer aided design) to bring the product to life. We generate a working 3D model to ensure the product is realistic and plausible. We can also test the product on various elements including material suitably and stress analysis. Our designers and engineers also use the virtual models to test different manufacturing techniques to ensure the most cost effective and appropriate manufacturing is used. We can also use the models for developing tools for manufacture.

 

Photorealistic Visuals / Animations

We can then use the 3D model to create photorealistic images to help sell and market the product before it has been manufactured. Our designers can also generate real environments to put the product into situ. At this point we can also provide images of the product in a range of different colours and even add branding, graphics and material finishes to give a realistic accurate image of the product. This can help the client and us to make an informed decision about the different finishing touches on the product. Further to visuals we can produce 3D animations to show the product and its moving parts being used and interacting with. This again can be used to help demonstrate and market the product before it goes in to full production.

 

Prototyping & Manufacturing

Creating working prototypes helps to iron out any problems before going into full production. The client and end user can also interact and see the design before manufacturing starts. We have access to the latest rapid prototyping facilities which allows us to have a working prototype within days that looks and functions the same as the manufactured finished product. We work closely with the manufactures throughout production to make it as cost effective and hassle free as possible.
